March 28, 2017 - Cuddebackville, NY - Students at Hamilton Bicentennial School are always learning about the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. In February, third grade students learned about Habit #5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood. This habit stresses empathy. Fulfilling this lesson, students and their families packed and delivered 73 "Comfort Bags" for cancer patients at Orange Regional Cancer Treatment Center.Story HERE>

March 23, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - With family in the audience, fifth graders from Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School took to the stage and received certificates upon graduating from the D.A.R.E. - Looking for something to do as a family? We know just the
right thing… Attend HBE’s Family Fun Night. We will be
hosting a “Bears 2 Build” night where students can come create
their own stuffed animal. Students will receive an animal of
their choice to stuff, the
heart to go inside, stuffing to stuff the animal, a certificate, and a personalized t-shirt with our school name. This event will require pre-registration, so please
register every child ahead of time as we will only have animals available for those who pre-register. Siblings are welcome; this is not just for HBE students.
We will also have a bake sale with goodies and drinks for purchase. HERE>
March 8, 2017 - Cuddebackville, NY - Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School sent two teams to the Odyssey of the Minds Competition last weekend at Orange-Ulster BOCES. Each performed very well, earning notable honors. The Grade 6 Division II team finished second in the region, and the Grade 4/5 Division I team took home tops honors, scoring first in their division. Odyssey of the Mind is the largest creative problem solving competition in the world. It focuses on team building, creativity and advanced problem solving skills. December 5, 2016, Cuddebackville, NY - On Monday, December 5th, the Port Jervis City School District celebrated 40 Years of Excellence at Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School.
