Lorelei Case, assistant superintendent, is responsible for the

Following extensive summer restorations,
all buildings opened Sept. 3 - ready to welcome students back
for the first day of the 2008-2009 school year. This summer,
Port Jervis Middle School, High School and sections of Anna S. Kuhl
Elementary School were temporarily closed for roof replacements,
facility restorations, security system upgrades, and other
needed building improvements.
The work begin April 18, 2008,
on the second - and final -
phase of the Port Jervis School District’s $14.6 million capital
construction project. The bulk of the projects were completed
over the summer. This included
renovating the high school
cafeteria, replacing roofs, and replacing fire
alarm systems, security systems upgrades, removing and replacing
fuel oil tanks at all Port Jervis schools. The extensive
restoration of the High School auditorium will be completed this
fall - in time for the community to enjoy all of the schools'
winter concerts.
